We understand it is important that every member of your community receives their giving statement. Since Pushpay is delivering statements on your behalf via email, we recommend doing three things to ensure your community gets their statement.
Review community members and verify that their details are correct.
By clicking on Step One of Annual Giving Statements, you will be taken to the new Community Member section. This sections includes assigned contributions to Community Members to ensure that each person only gets one statement. Click here for more on managing Community Members.
Collect email or mailing addresses for donors who only have gifts recorded through Gift Entry
It is possible that a transaction was recorded through Gift Entry without an associated email or mailing address. On the Giving Statements tab, you will be notified if a donor does not have an email address.
For these transactions, you will want to collect the appropriate information and add it to Community Members by editing their details in the Community Member view. You don’t need to worry about adding email addresses for community members who have created a Pushpay account, but we do recommend that you check that the email addresses are accurate.
Notify your community that you will be preparing Annual Giving Statements through Pushpay so that they know to look for an email.
This will decrease the number of community members asking for their statements near the end of the year. It is also a good idea to remind your donors to check that their email addresses are accurate by logging into the mobile app or website and updating their details.
Once you're done, click Back to Giving Statements and continue on to Step 2: Customize Email Message.
